An open call for magazines, zines, and other literature from writers and editors based in London to be featured in an exhibition in late May to early June 2026 at Lewisham Art House.

DROP OFF AT EXHIBITION 28-31 MAY anytime 9AM-5PM
The media can be:
- Any length or size
- Any genre
- Any language
All we ask is that you are London based and that we can have a physical copy!
The copy will be put on a bookshelf in the exhibition for visitors to pick up and flick through at the exhibition. If you agree, we will also feature the cover of your magazine in the digital version of the exhibition, with links on where people can get a copy from (if possible). The digital exhibition will go live at the end of June 2026.
The exhibition entitled 36 hours is a community art project which aims to uplift local creatives and create a cross section into what local artists are focussed on, inspired by, and expressing at this moment in time.
CAN I SUBMIT MORE THAN 1 MAGAZINE/ZINE?
Unfortunately we can only accept 1 piece per publication/artist at this time in order to ensure that there is enough space for as many artists as possible. If they are completely different publications but have work by the same artist featured, that is fine.
DO I HAVE TO PAY TO APPLY OR PARTICIPATE?
No, the whole point is that we want this exhibition to be as accessible as possible to artists. If you are able to, however, and would like to, please consider donating as little as £1 to our GoFundMe, which goes towards things such as CDs, cost of the space, and invigilator fees. This exhibition is self funded and all the work done toward it by 36hours is voluntary.
HOW DO I ENTER MY MAGAZINE/ZINE?
Please email hello@36hours.london with a completed version of this form. I will then respond with an address you can mail your magazine to, or you can let me know where to collect a free copy from.
Alternatively you can drop off a copy at the exhibition between 28-31 May 2026, 9am-5pm where you can fill out a version of the above form in person.
CAN I GET IT BACK AFTERWARDS?
Of course, if that’s what you would like! You will need to arrange a collection of your artwork on/after the 8th June.
